Job Title: Commercial Manager

Job Purpose

• Contract Change Management, negotiate with customer and manage the Commercial and Contractual aspects for all Tasks under the contract ensuring compliance with required corporate governance and approvals.
• Manage the pre and post contract commercial administration of Partner Contracts and other Subcontracts which may include management of risk: compliance, audit reviews, monitoring and interpreting weekly and monthly reports, KPI drafting and maintenance, review of applications for payment, valuations, payment certificates, running weekly and monthly progress review meetings with Subcontractors.
• Fully understand the contract terms and conditions and manage their flow down to Partners / Subcontractors.
• Ensure that all tasks are delivered to optimise returns and minimise risk.
• Review, highlight and address any commercial risk areas within the Tasks and address these with the relevant Business Manager and technical /engineering managers.
• Provision of weekly/monthly Commercial reports as necessary.
• Review and input to cost reports

Experience/Qualifications/Skills
• A Quantity Surveyor qualification is highly desirable.
• Sector experience: Significant experience of major EPC contracts in any one of the following sectors: nuclear, power and process, oil and gas, utilities, construction, transmission and distribution.
• Specific Form of contract: Significant experience using the NEC suite of contract documents Finance : A good understanding of cost models/business models in relation to NEC, familiarity with accounting practices, commercial audits, forecasting and valuations.
• Legal: A good understanding of contract terms and conditions, good negotiation skills and an ability to draft contract terms as required and appropriate.
