Job Details
The unit works across both police and partner boundaries identifying best and innovative practice, and implements recommendations emanating from HMICFRS inspections, serious case reviews, Coroners and internal reviews. The unit is a high energy dynamic team which will take pride in supporting districts and partners to continually improve the service provided to our most vulnerable children, adults and families.
A clear sense of focus and an ability to effectively engage with staff across a range of teams and agencies is critical to the units success in achieving the force priorities of keeping people safe, strengthening communities and reducing offending of those who need our help the most.
This role affords the opportunity to be involved in shaping the continually evolving police response to domestic abuse. You will engage with numerous external stakeholders including statutory partner agencies across GM, national and local charities, the Mayor's Office, College of Policing, and various government departments. You will need to be resilient and tenacious and have experience of strategies to compact domestic abuse combined with a passion for this challenging area of business.
