About the Role
At HMNB Clyde, we manage a number of activities on behalf of the MOD and currently we are looking for a Senior Scheduler to join us. We provide highly specialised engineering support services, including operational maintenance, upgrades and repair to ships and submarines and submarine operator and maintainer training for the Royal Navy's Astute Class submarines.
We currently have an opportunity for a 3 Fleet Programmes Senior Schedulers that will Line Manage, train and mentor Project Schedulers and Project Co-Ordinators working in Fleet project teams, in order to support project managers to deliver projects within the required safety standards, time, cost and quality targets.
In this post the senior scheduler will provide an advanced level of project scheduling support, direction and coaching to projects teams to ensure maintenance period schedules are developed and maintained within Babcock Group's Project Management & Planning policies and standards are met via quality schedules that satisfy the requirements of the business and the needs of the customer.
 
What do I need to do to do the role?
 We would like you to have all or some of the following:
• Programme Management techniques and process improvement techniques
• Primavera P6 15.2
• Risk Management and Schedule Risk Analysis techniques
• Planning Estimating and Production System (PEPS)
• Business Processes (Fleet Planning, IBP, Procurement, Finance and Commercial).
• Customer systems and processes (RDAR, UMMS, SDD, SDD, Trilogy, CWE, Survey)
 
What else do I need to know?
This role is based at HM Naval Base Clyde, located 6 miles north of Helensburgh in the West of Scotland. We are well placed for commuter links to Glasgow and the wider region, with easy access for car and public transport.
In addition to core working hours, you may be required to work overtime, including evenings and weekends, in order to meet project requirements.
You should hold or have the ability to obtain full SC clearance
