Data Scientist - DV Clearance

Our Large Defence customer are looking for a Data Scientist to work with them on a exciting programme of work, in return they are willing to offer a high daily rate and the flexibility of working from home.

Essential skills
*Mathematics (ideally degree level or above in STEM subject, or equivalent)
*Experience of Python programming language
*Exposure to some or all of the following Python libraries: Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-learn
*Experience of ingesting, processing & cleaning large datasets
*Experience of producing analytical reports and drawing insights from large datasets, particularly for a non-technical audience
Desirable
*Experience of machine learning algorithms:
*Supervised techniques (e.g. Random Forest, XGBoost, Neural Networks)
*Unsupervised techniques (e.g. Clustering algorithms; K-Means, DBSCAN)
*Exposure to one or more of Keras, Tensorflow, PyTorch
*Basic statistical knowledge; e.g. normal distribution, correlation
*Exposure to Big Data platforms: e.g. Apache HDFS, Spark, Hive
*Basic experience of writing efficient SQL queries
*Awareness of modern data visualisation techniques
