About the role
Here at Cavendish Nuclear, we are looking to employ a Site Manager to be based at Heysham Power Station, Lancashire. Cavendish Nuclear, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Babcock International Group, is a leading nuclear services company. From servicing existing nuclear power plants and decommissioning some of the most complex nuclear sites in the world, to helping to keep the UK's fleet of nuclear powered submarines at sea, our people innovate to deliver nuclear services safer, faster, at lower cost.

At Heysham Power Station, we deliver installation, maintenance and operations projects for EDF. As the Site Manager, you will lead our teams to deliver these projects, tasks and services as required by EDF. You will be the focal point for Cavendish Nuclear on the project site - establishing and maintaining effective communications between Cavendish Nuclear and the client, be responsible for managing multi-disciplined teams and for leading safe delivery of projects tasks and services to the required time, cost and quality.
In addition, you will lead and coordinate SHEQ, mentor and develop employees, recruit and complete competency evaluations and plan and monitor project performance.

What do I need to do the role?
You will need to be Degree qualified or equivalent within an Engineering discipline, hold either NEBOSH or IOSH Health and Safety qualification and have experience of managing and delivering projects within a complex environment.

We would also like you to have:
• Strong interpersonal skills and effective communicator
• Experience of deploying teams safely within the engineering construction industry
• Preferably have experience with Civil Nuclear.
