The UK Government have a significant number of major programmes in flight and being commissioned. They are facing many challenges in the preparation to leave the EU.  We have been asked to aid with raising the level of Project and Programme Management expertise within the business area for a large-scale programme. Our broad remit means we; Reed Professional Services within our Central Government Work Packages play a major role in people's day-to-day life.

Who will you be working for?

Reed Professional Services provide project delivery and tailored PMO services, helping our customer’s projects go from concept to completion. Our project and programme delivery services are custom tailored to meet individual needs, whilst drawing on broad market experience and proven methodology from a variety of sectors including Media, Banking and Central Government.  

What we are looking for you to do: 

As a core member of our Team, as the Benefit Management Consultant you will be working on a large-scale programme (£2 billion+ budget), working alongside a Senior Responsible Owner/Programme Director and various teams to focus on the first phase of the benefits management workstream.

You will be focused on documenting and categorising existing benefits - ready for the team to develop business cases, identifying the best benefit outcomes and translating this into tangible benefits whilst reviewing wider programme plans to maximise and create new benefit realisation opportunities.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Experience of working in a benefits management role within a central government function on large-scale projects.
  • Drive best practice, methodologies, and processes to complex teams
  • Strong stakeholder management at all levels across the business.
  • Defining key programme benefits, tracking & assuring benefit realisation and categorisation of benefit types.
  • Taking ownership of the benefits management deliverable's.
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal.
  • Prior experience for a consultancy.
  • Prior experience of working with Central Government functions

Although remote initially, all applicants must be willing and able to travel to onsite client locations once government restrictions surrounding COVID19 travel are eased.
