Now a key player in the niche market of Fibre Broadband and Media Communications, this dynamic and growing Network Services Provider are seeking a professional, challenge orientated and focused Principle IT Systems Administrator / Engineer who has a proven Linux bias.

The Role:

Coexisting with a Premier League Network Team to deliver best broadband services in the London area, the day to day requirements of the Principle IT Systems Administrator role will be to Support (3rd Line), Maintain and Administration of Infrastructure Systems for over 250 users (internal and remote), as well as take ownership of Design & Build, Cloud and Automation Projects as well as BAU operational support in this multi-vendor, hybrid tech environment.

Whilst assisting with BAU activities to support day to day Systems Support Operations in an ISP environment, you will also be tasked with Infrastructure Expansion Projects, Cloud Technology and Implementing Systems Automation as well as performing Upgrades and Deployments to support this clients phased growth into 2021 and 2022.

To secure this role your technical portfolio will consist of:
  • Extensive experience building and maintaining Server Hardware Platforms & Clustering
  • Extensive experience of Windows Servers 2008/2012/2016/2019
  • Extensive experience of Active Directory, Domain Controllers, Implementation & Group Policy
  • Excellent experience of Cloud Technology / AWS / Azure / Google
  • Excellent knowledge & hands on experience of Google and G-Suite Apps.
  • Excellent knowledge & hands on experience of VMware
  • Extensive knowledge & experience of High Availability Systems & Failover Testing
  • Experience with Automation, Hardware and Software builds
  • Experience of building Enterprise / Windows DHCP & DNS Servers
  • Experience of Network Switches, Routers, Print Server Solutions
  • Wi-Fi, VPN's, Network Security and Firewall policies
  • Infrastructure Security & Systems Resilience
  • Understanding / Awareness of DBA, MS SQL, Postgres & Maria Db)

    • Your role responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement IT infrastructure monitoring
  • Ownership & Running of Projects
  • Systems & Operations Automation
  • Manage SLA's and Manage Supplier Chain
  • Act as the first point of contact for service providers / invoices to ensure stock levels are maintained.
  • Manage and control the Clients laptop estate and cabling infrastructure
  • Train and mentor junior IT administrators in the department.
  • Coordination with technical aspects of desk relocations, electrical testing, disaster recovery testing, physical security systems
  • Configure & Maintain open source monitoring systems
  • Apply backup mechanism for existing and new system deployments
  • Customize open source systems as per our requirements
  • Assist with BAU activities to support day to day system support operations in an ISP environment.

    • Microsoft MCSA, MCSE, MTA, Cisco CCNA
