About the role

Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit 2x MT Bus Escort.

The role is 15 hours a week - 3 hours a days (1.5 in the morning and 1.5 in the afternoon).

Two people will alternate the weeks on a 5 days on days off basis. This is term time only.

You'll be responsible for looking after the welfare of the children on the MT School bus during term time.

Specific responsibilities are entitling users are logged onto bus as per authorised user list, all users are properly seated and that seatbelts are worn at all times the bus is in motion, an appropriate level of control is maintained at all times during the journey, any untoward occurrences are logged in the Escort diary and reported to the MT Manager or MT Ops Controller.

On the evening pick-up, you'll need to ensure that all children logged as users in the morning are on the return trip, if not check with school authorities or parents as to why before the bus returns to the Station.

The emergency telephone will need to be charged and available for all journeys and you'll also need to liaise with parents and ensuring they are kept up-to-date with anything they need to know regarding the school bus journeys.

You'll need the following:
• Proven excellent communication skills
• Proven teamwork skills
• Proven organisational skills
• First aid qualified

What else do I need to know?
• The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
