Meggitt Rotational Graduate Programme

Are you a Graduate looking to kick-start your career in Engineering, Operations or Supply Chain?
Meggitt is a global engineering organisation specialising in extreme environment products and smart subsystems for aerospace, defense and energy markets. We employ over 10,000 people across manufacturing facilities in Asia, Europe, North America, and with regional bases in India and the Middle East.

The Meggitt Graduate Programme is an accelerated development programme for those graduating from University. Within our Programme, you can learn about engineering and operations in a global manufacturing environment. You'll be able to utilise your existing experience as well as pick up new skills as you rotate around Meggitt for your four nine-month placements.
In order to fast-track your development, you'll be assigned a senior leader to mentor you throughout the programme, as well as a professional development mentor who will support your progression towards professional status in your chosen field.
Depending on your ambitions and degree discipline, you could work on projects in the following areas:

  • Engineering of advanced technologies for aero, defense and energy applications such as : fire suppression systems development, composite and polymer structures, electrical and control systems, sensing and flow systems, aircraft braking systems, thermal systems, and advanced manufacturing technology.
  • Operations : product delivery, process & operational excellence, supply chain strategy, advanced digital manufacturing technology, manufacturing strategy, manufacturing systems / planning, lean manufacturing and factory optimisation.


The three-year programme consists of four nine-month placements

  • Each placement includes cross-discipline project work and assignments across our divisions to give you a breadth of experience and opportunities to engage with a wide network.
  • One placement will be international.
  • One non-technical placement which could be in strategy, marketing, sales, facilities or other departments, to stretch you and provide you with a rounded skillset.
  • You'll receive technical and commercial training throughout the programme, as well as enhanced professional and personal development.
  • You'll receive mentorship from 2 of the most experienced leaders in Meggitt.
  • Together with your placement managers, you will set clear goals at the start of each placement and receive appraisals at the end to aid your progress and development.

  • Resilient, resourceful, socially mobile and willing to travel, not afraid to establish new networks and step outside of your comfort zone.

You will have:
  • Work experience in relevant fields
  • A flexible nature for this fast-paced Graduate Rotational Programme. You must be able to travel and relocate every 9 months for a 3 year period.
  • A desire to receive continuous professional development and feedback.
  • The desire to impact an organisation with creativity and innovative thinking.


Academic Qualifications

In order to apply to the Meggitt Graduate Programme, you must have at least one of the following:
  • A Bachelor's Degree with substantial relevant work experience; and/or a Masters' Degree; and/or a PhD in one of the following subjects:
Mechanical / Materials / Electrical / Electronic / Systems / Chemical / Process / Aerospace / Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering Disciplines, or Supply Chain Management
  • Equivalent of 2:1 (UK) or above

What is the recruitment process?
