About the role
Here at Babcock International, we are seeking a Continuing Airworthiness Engineer to support our Head of Airworthiness in delivery of Part M/BCAR CAMO services, and who is approved by the CAA to carry out Airworthiness Reviews.

We are ideally seeking a Continuing Airworthiness Engineer with an airworthiness background, be it fixed or rotary wing who is licenced on both aircraft types, and who may have come from a Shop Floor or Supervisor type background.

Major Tasks and Activities:
•Aircraft ARC renewals, extensions & surveys; liaison with regulatory authorities for CoA, Registrations and fleet changes, fleet Mass & Balance reports
•Development, upkeep and optimisation of Approved Maintenance Programmes, along with reviewing OEM & Regulator issued ICA/AD/ASB etc, authorisation of variations to maintenance as required
•Develop and manage fleet reliability data programmes in conjunction with Part 145 Engineering team and appropriate OEMs
•Delegated functional leadership of Technical Records team when Head of Airworthiness absent

Additional Key Accountabilities:
•Maintaining a safe, efficient and regulatory compliant working environment
•Apply Continuous Improvement principles within area of responsibility
•Engineering Management Team Member
•Engineering Duty Manager
•SMS Occurrence Review Board contributor

What do I need to do the role?
Key Technical Skills/Competencies:
•Recent Aviation Compliance, Regulator or Airworthiness management experience
•Aircraft Engineering experience (aircraft systems, maintenance processes, EASA/BCAR requirements & standards)
•Management, Leadership or Supervisory experience
•Competent IT skills
•Competent communication skills, verbal in person or by phone, written (report writing, presentations, financial summaries) for internal and external customers

Company/Industry Knowledge:
•Aviation Line & Base maintenance experience
•Current knowledge of EASA Part M & Part 145 and BCAR regulations.

•EASA B1.3 or B2 Licence
•Type Rating EC135/145 or similar desirable
•Formal Management, Supervisory or Business administration training desirable

•The successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role
