About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Project Engineer with experience of client/stakeholder management to join our Liquefied Gas Equipment (LGE) Division. We design and supply cargo handling systems for liquefied gas ships across the globe. LGE is an incredibly innovative and diverse business with patented designs working with LPG, LNG, Ethane, Ethylene and new projects with CO2.

Our Head Office is in Rosyth, with most clients in South Korea and China at the biggest shipyards in the world. With a diverse product portfolio in numerous markets, we offer an exciting opportunity to join an ever-growing business with longevity. You'll be part of a large project function which includes mechanical, electrical and chemical engineers and you'll sit within the External Project Team. You will be the primary point of contact in communications with the Customer, Ship Owners, Third Party Engineers, Partners, Agents and Site Teams.

You will interface with other disciplines - including the clear assignment of tasks, required scope, objectives and time scales to ensure efficient working practices to achieve the required project objectives and deliverables schedules. You will represent the company in contractual matters, set-up and provide on-going maintenance of the project administration and develop and apply the Project Management/Risk Plan.

You'll be accountable for the project budget and cost control throughout the project life cycle. You'll review and approve Purchase Orders to meet project requirements, record/collect the progress of tasks/activities and accountability for the project plan and submit project deliverables on schedule, and controlled recording of mitigating circumstances (on a regular formal basis) in the event of disruption or delay.

There may be a requirement for international travel to carry out commissioning and performance tests activities. There may also be the requirement to travel to meet clients, third party inspectors and vendors in certain instances.
As well as being part of a business that continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace, we'll also provide you with all the training, support and benefits that you'd expect from a global company.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to have a Degree in either Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering and have experience within a project environment with stakeholder/client engagement.

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
• Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
• Highly motivated with an attention to detail
• Ability to lead tasks and work to tight timescales
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills

What else do I need to know?
• We are based at Rosyth, Scotland
• Permanent position with a competitive annual salary and excellent benefits.
• 37.5 hours per week; 7:00am to 15:15 Monday to Thursday and 7:00am to 14:00 on Friday.
