Would you like to be part of a People and Culture team that put employees at the heart of everything we do? As a HR Associate you'll be part of the Warships business and we are proud of what we do. We support the Navy to defend our nation, at home and overseas.

Main Purpose of the Role

If you have a passion for keeping people engaged and connected to the business and feel like you could be part of a team that cares about the employee experience, this could be the job for you. Reporting to the Snr HR Business Partner you'll have plenty of opportunity to be involved in a variety of projects, activities and day to day business.

  • Providing support on employee queries and signposting to relevant HR teams
  • Supporting employees to self-serve using our HR systems
  • Acting as one of the primary liaisons between several HR teams including Payroll and Time & Attendance, in order to manage & resolve day to day employee issues
  • Team Meeting Champion - Organisation of team meetings; booking rooms, compiling agendas & writing up action points
  • Reward and Recognition - Raising PO's & arranging rewards for employees as requested by managers
  • People Plan - we have a People Plan that covers everything the team will be working on over the next 12 months. You'll update and maintain this for weekly project reviews and highlight risk areas that we need to be aware of

Required Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Competences

We're looking for:
  • Someone that can build good relationships with managers and employees
  • A customer service star that wants to help our employees
  • Someone that can multitask as we have a number of key priorities and we'd love you to be involved in them all

Grade
This position is within the Central Services business unit as a Grade 1, which has a salary of £20,450 with DRDL Terms and Conditions.
