Role Description

We currently have an opportunity for an Environmental, Health & Safety trainer, on a part-time basis, working within Defence Systems Technology (DST).

DST is a business unit within the Marine Sector of Babcock International Group. Working on a range of exciting design, manufacture and support projects, DST works with a number of key clients domestically and internationally. We're based at a number of sites in the UK and overseas. The business continues to win new work and grow at a significant pace; as a result we are recruiting for talented, enthusiastic and driven people.

Principal Tasks & Responsibilities
As an Environmental, Health & Safety Trainer, your responsibilities will include;
  • Delivering accredited & none accredited EH&S courses E.G. IOSH Managing Safely, IOSH Working Safely, IOSH Managing refresher and IOSH for Directors courses.
  • Managing the Environmental, Health & Safety training requirements.
  • Carrying out the administration training tasks E.G. request attendance of delegates, book rooms, plan course materials, distribute certificates and manage travel requirements.

What do I need to do the role?
To be successful in your role you will have substantial experience in face to face training delivery courses within health and safety and also possess the ability to work without direct supervision.
You will also hold the following qualifications;
  • A minimum adult training certificate at level 3 or successful completion of IOSH train the trainer course.
  • NEBOSH General Certificate & Technical membership of IOSH.

What else do I need to know?
You must hold a clean driving licence and have the ability to work flexible time (3 days a week) with some overnight stays. You must therefore be willing to travel.

Location

Bristol is a vibrant city in south west England with a wide range of attractions, landmarks, events and shopping. It has excellent transport links and is only 1.5 hours from London by train.
