Permanent Salaries: £30,000 / 65,000

Clearance: DV Clearance (Could Start with an SC Clearance)

Our client are seeking a Software Developer to engage with their central government customer. The client are, at this time, considering candidates with no clearance. However the successful candidate will be required to achieve DV level security clearance.

It is suggested you research DV Clearance and the criteria before applying to avoid disappointment.

Once the clearance is achieved and you're engaging with the client you'll achieve longevity in contract with a highly technical and engaging environment.

Essential:

• Three years' experience as a Java developer, including Java GUI implementation
• GUI design experience
• Experience of working with multiple teams in a project environment
• A self-driven individual capable of conducting complex tasks without supervision
• Able to undertake occasional travel to alternate sites within the UK

Desirable:

• Experience of working with software defined radios
• Understanding of basic radio theory
• Experience of developing a single GUI to control multiple applications
• OS mapping server experience
• Experience of working with an evolving requirement set that may contain some ambiguity
• Capable of self-generating solutions to user problems
• The role is based in the Cheltenham area. Applicants with SC will be considered. Part time or flexible working (within site opening hours) will be considered for the right candidate.
