Mechanical Engineer – Nuclear Propulsion Support

Our client, a large government customer, are seeking a Mechanical Engineer – Nuclear Propulsion Support to join their team. The role is based in Barrow-in-Furness. This role requires SC Clearance.

Technical Discipline: Mechanical

Requirements are scheduled to run until 31^st March 2021. This is a competitive tender and there is therefore no pre-defined price attached to this role. We suggest that a rate of £380 - £480/day will be competitive, however please approach us if you have different requirements.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. Our client has indicated that they intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

Specific Requirements

• The requirement is to provide Mechanical Engineering support for the Nuclear Propulsion Delivery Team.
• Mechanical Engineering experience of submarine nuclear propulsion is required.
• Understanding and experience of applicable MOD standards and processes is essential.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas are cannot be accepted.
