Interim Business Change Manager

Description:

  • Identifying Change Management requirements.
  • Production of policy, processes, procedures, working practices and supporting guidance to promote effective.
  • Change Management from concept to execution and review.
  • Planning, managing and monitoring the implementation of changes, including impact assessment, resource analysis, conflict resolution and contingency planning.

You will be an Expert in Change Management concepts and practices. Capable in methods and techniques for risk management, business impact analysis, counter-measures and contingency arrangements, particularly relating to the serious disruption of business services.

You will be responsible for integrating the modernised Armoured Infantry Brigade Programmes into the Fd Army: Challenger Life Extension Programme and Warrior Capability Sustainment Programme (Pg).

You will be pivotal as the interface between the Pg and the Fd Army to integrate it into the Fd Army in order to realise benefits and improve the British Army’s operational capability.

You will represents the 3* CFA at the Pg Board. Working alongside the OF-5 Pg Director, they are expected to brief and inform the Army HQ and Fd Army at the 2* level.

You will ensures Pg decisions are linked to CFA’s Decision Points; cross-DLOD cohesion is maintained and delivered; risks against Fd Army outputs are measured, reported and mitigated; and the capabilities delivered are fit for service. The BCM represents the user community with a deep understanding of its structure and function and communicates that change (written, verbally and online) to Fd Army’s personnel at all levels.

You must have the credibility to lead land environment military planning and have a detailed understanding of how units and formations operate so that military plans and orders can be developed. Likewise in advising the Pg and the project managers on how change can be effectively integrated into the Fd Army.

Principle roles:

  • Assist and agree with Pg staff the Benefits to be delivered and implement a Transition Plan.
  • Develop a Transition Plan and implement subsequent military operational staff work to deliver change.
  • Communicate to, and advise, the Pg Board and CIWG, in P3M terms, how to integrate capability into the Fd Army and, in the operational language, how that change will be delivered to the Fd Army.
  • Prepare force elements within the Fd Army for the change to be delivered by the Pg, including: briefings, online information and written orders.
  • Influence and inform Pg members up to an including 2* Senior Responsible Officers and work as co-chair, with the OF-5 Pg director, the CIWG.
  • Cohere DLOD delivery across the Army HQ to ensure an effective capability is delivered in time for conversion, training and an ability to be held at readiness.
  • Identify, manage and mitigate risks to the Fd Army and work with units, formations and the Pg.
  • Integrate the fielding plan into the Fd Army’s commitments so as to minimise the disruption of the force generation of force elements at readiness and refine programme fielding plans.
  • Report and inform the implications of the programme to HQ Fd Army, incorporate into the Fd Army Order, through the Fd Army Estimate,
  • Transition Plan to cohere pan-DLOD delivery.
  • Stakeholder engagement.
  • Represent Fd Army requirements into the Programme.
  • Communicate the Transition plan and Programme issues to the Fd Army
  • Detailed understanding of how combat units and formations operate so that military plans and orders can be effectively developed.
  • Ability to translate P3M language into Fd Army orders and advice.

Minimum Requirement:
1) MOD experience within business change background
2) Ability of briefing people at a senior level
3) Transition schedule experience
4) MSP qualification desirable

Contract Length: 6 months
