We are currently recruiting for a Security Lead role for the FCO based in London

As Security Lead, you will:
- Work with the Programme’s Business Analysts and the Stakeholder/Customer security teams to define the security requirements for the Echo2 procurements.
- Lead the evaluation for security aspects of the Echo2 procurements.
- Build a good understanding of the Partner businesses, using this to contribute to the development and the delivery of the Programme plan.
- Effectively manage stakeholders inside and outside the Programme to ensure the appropriate security processes are implemented, adopted and used by the Echo2 suppliers.
- Provide security architecture rigour into the design and proofing for selected technologies, tools and platforms.
- Participate in cross functional workshops and leading on security matters as required.
- Provide assurance and input for the security aspects of Echo1 exit activities.
- Be the Programme’s point of contact security related matters.
You’ll have:
- Valid and active DV clearance.
- Experience of working on large and complex IT programmes in the UK public sector.
- International work experience advantageous.
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Extensive knowledge of security controls and technologies, such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), public key infrastructure (PKI), identity and access management (IDAM) systems, antivirus and firewalls, endpoint detection and response (EDR), threat intelligence platforms, security operations centres (SOC), security automation and orchestration, deception technologies and application controls.
- Familiarity with GDPR and ISO27001 requirements advantageous.
- Familiarity with IT networks (WAN, WiFi, Internet, firewalls, routers, SD-WAN) advantageous.
- Working closely with the Echo Partners’ security teams, the role holder is expected to act with minimum supervision and to deliver to schedule whilst balancing multiple priorities. Support will be provided as required and requested. The role holder is expected to be self-driven and motivated.
