Our Airframe Systems division brings together an extensive range of skills and abilities to support some of the world's leading commercial, business and military aircraft manufacturers
Across its five product groups, Airframe Systems produces a host of world leading technology. Our Braking Systems product group supplies both military and commercial aircrafts.
We seal essential spaces, such as landing gear, wings, engines, nacelles, windows and doors, and produce intelligent air data systems and sensors that measure altitude, angle or acceleration. These sensors can be used on planes, train control systems or even missile control systems.
Whether it's developing new radome solutions, fuel delivery systems or high-altitude life support systems, the Airframe Systems embodies the innovation at the heart of Meggitt.

Role Summary
To provide oversight and leadership of a site Program Management Office (PMO) or Group of Program Managers. Monitor the activities of the PMO or Group, to ensure high quality of activities and report status and issues to the VP Program Management. Be the focal point of the PMO or Group to the site business unit. Work collaboratively with the Executive Management Team to meet or exceed our Customer's expectations in terms of quality, cost and delivery

Core Responsibilities

• Member of Site Leadership Council (SLC), where applicable, representing the PMO. Communicates new or revised policies, procedures or any critical information to the organization.
• Supports the development and maintenance of annual budgets including RF forecasts.
• Approves Program Manager / Project Manager Travel permits.
• Monitors and approves Group holiday, sickness and absence.
• Attends weekly and monthly Executive Program Reviews with the Product Group and Division.
• Supports all non-customer audits (ie: Quality, ISO, AS, Trade Compliance, etc.)
• Ensures the PMO or Group adheres to company policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Assists in the generation and modification of PMO policies and procedures.
• Supports Marketing in new business opportunities for customers or programmes not assigned.
• Responsible for Program Manager / Project Manager goal setting and annual performance appraisals.
• Monitors Program Manager / Project Manager Performance and offers recommendations for improvement.
• Assists Program Manager / Project Manager to eliminate internal constraints and prioritize tasks.
• Leads execution of MPS (Meggitt Production System) activities for PMO to achieve and maintain Gold standard.
• Will take on additional duties as the VP of Program Management directs

Program Management Accountabilities
• Supports marketing new business activities by providing the program management section of proposals. After contract award, coordinates and works with marketing to develop plans and set strategy for achieving follow-on business.
• Acts as the company representative and prime customer contact for all assigned programs. All customer questions or problems concerning assigned programs are resolved by the incumbent or directed to the proper area for resolution. By developing customer confidence in Meggitt products and services, additional business opportunities are explored through coordination with the Marketing representative.
• Maintains a risk management system where risks and issues are identified, prioritized and mitigation plans and recovery strategies are defined and actioned.
• Responsible for all facets of assigned programs working within objectives, goals and funding requirements established by management. Incumbent produces and manages the Program Management Plan, ensuring all aspects of the program, including Technical, Commercial and Supply Chain activities are integrated into a Master Program Schedule. A detailed breakdown of work to be accomplished is prepared and specific tasks are assigned to various functional organizations.
• Allocates and controls funds and prepares reports to monitor actual verses budgeted costs. Progress on program status and performance is constantly monitored through review meetings, reports and presentations to management and customers. When necessary the incumbent may lead a team to negotiate changes in the contractual agreement due to changes in specifications, schedules, or any other element of the agreement.
• Participates in the resolution of technical and commercial in-service issues, especially with regards to Customer Interaction and relationship.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Bachelors' degree in Engineering. Post-graduate education is desirable.
• Supply Chain Management, Manufacturing or Operations Engineering. Strong aerospace background desirable.
• APM / PMP Certification and/or equivalent training and certification
• Understanding of financial, product development, operational functions and key business drivers.
• Experience of working and managing teams in a multi-discipline matrix environment.
• Excellent Project/Program Management skills for successful project delivery.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple activities, projects and personnel issues.
• Effective motivator, mentor, communicator and problem solver.
• Excellent organizational skills with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to create and deliver presentations to management.
• Able to handle multiple priorities and work well under pressure.
• Computer Skills (proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project)
• Ability to travel
