Your experience of systems engineering and knowledge of the product development lifecycle will help you work in an expanding team with a proven track record in developing and testing complex "hardware in the loop" and real missile equipment.

A corporate benefits package and transparent career development opportunities are on offer within this vibrant Engineering environment.

Below are some further details on the job. At the bottom of the page is where you can apply.

About the job:

Our client currently requires the services of a Systems Engineer to join a small, multi-skilled team, doing complex technical work on "Hardware In The Loop" (HWIL) and experiencing a wide variety of technologies and engineering disciplines. The team forms a critical part of the missile design and development cycle, where testing is focused on understanding and investigating product characteristics and behaviours, often with prototype equipment and cutting edge technologies, not simply testing on a production line. The role will include;

*To participate in the technical definition of HWIL simulations to answer the needs of projects.
*To develop test and HWIL simulation requirements and test plans to meet the needs of project customers.
*To conduct project focused testing within the facility
*To analyse results from testing and investigate and resolve any anomalies with other engineering disciplines.
*To prepare deliverable reports for HWIL's customer.
About you:
As a Systems Engineer (HWIL), your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

Essential:
*Good problem solving and analytical skills
*Strong communications skills, able to explain complex issues to people with varying technical backgrounds and depth of knowledge
*Be pro-active and be capable of working on their own initiative with minimum supervision
*Able to work with varied engineering teams
*Basic understanding of computer science principals
*Able to work safely and confidently with hardware
*Basic understanding of electronics
Desirable:
*Familiarity with Systems Engineering principals
*Knowledge of communications protocols (e.g. RS422, Ethernet, MODBUS)
*Knowledge of EO/RF technologies may be advantageous
*Some familiarity with software (c, c++, MATLAB)
