Role Summary/Purpose:
    The Production Leader plays a vital role in ensuring that day to day operations of the product line run efficiently. As a Production Leader you will be responsible for managing hour by hour production within the area, ensuring the team achieves and meets their targets and operational effectiveness is maximized.
Essential Responsibilities:
    The Production Leader will be responsible for:
  • Overseeing and managing front-line manufacturing employees, typically managing hourly employee populations
  • Ensuring shift adherence within area
  • Developing daily production plan to support volume throughput, utilization of standard labour hours, management of overtime and annual leave within team to meet OTR requirements in line with business needs
  • Attending daily CCC meeting
  • Working with the product line/business area operational leader and senior business leadership to support the strategic planning of manpower, equipment and other resources
  • Working closely with key stakeholders across the business using data to detect critical production issues including quality and engineering requirements and work with support functions to identify solutions
  • Ensuring safety, quality, housekeeping standards and compliance regulations are adhered to within the area
  • Communicating key business/customer issues to employees
  • Effectively monitoring and managing absence through utilisation of the Company absence management process including the accurate recording of absence in SAP
  • Managing teams and holding employees accountable in line with GE policies and procedures
  • Attending and actively engaging in Gate Leader Forum activities
  • Executing on the training plan to ensure all direct reports attend relevant training while minimizing impact to production #LI-SM1
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED withsome experience in Manufacturing) or equivalent knowledge or experience
  • Previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment
