Business Development Director – Defence - Security – Cyber – Digital Transformation Services
Business Development Director to lead a high performing Sales and Marketing team in Defence and Security consultancy based in the UK, with the post-holder being responsible for maximising both current and future profit margin through sustainable growth with the focus on expansion in existing and new markets.
We are looking in particular for an individual that can lead both existing market offerings, but to also focus on the development of customer/market led innovations leading to new services and products. This includes building growth plans into new customers in defence and security, with particular focus on; cyber and digital services and transformation into the security, law enforcement and related areas of government and industry.
The Business Development Director will ensure that the Business Development strategy is aligned with other key areas of the business such as Operations Management and Capability Development. In addition, we are looking for an individual with the ability to build high level customer relationships that are of strategic value for profitable growth of the business, ideally a candidate will have existing relationships in our current and new markets areas.
To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates who can satisfy the following:
- Proven experience of developing, implementing and delivering business strategy;
- Experience of being responsible for business performance measures including developing budgets, setting appropriate sales revenue and contribution targets;
- Experience of building and maintaining effective relationships with clients and partners, prosecuting strategic business development opportunities;
- Have a high level of commercial awareness and a solid record of articulating propositions and concepts;
- Experience of leading and managing cohesive teams, ideally across multiple sites;
- Leads by example, adopting an open and inclusive communication style which motivates, energises and enthuses others.
