We are currently looking to recruit 1 x G1 Head of Performance in either our London or Bristol sites.

The Head of Performance sits within Technology Command.

As the head of a team of Live Service Performance professionals, you will be leading the Supplier Relationship Management, Supplier Cost Management and Lifecycle Management teams as well as providing the Service Management Service Design for the Target Operating Model (TOM).

Job description

As Head of Performance, you will be using your skills and expertise to:

- Monitor all the services provided by our suppliers, to govern their contractual deliverables to keep them relevant and fit for purpose to meet the NCA’s mission.

- Ensure Suppliers are meeting requirements of our delivery and operational teams.

- Lead on bringing our Supplier knowledge to the rest of the Technology Command, engaging subject matter experts from our Supplier base and act as point of contact for any Supplier issues.

- Lead on monitoring Operational and Contractual Performance, support Suppliers in their engagement with the NCA and work closely with Commercial to maintain the contracts.

- Deliver projects to enhance our Services, working with our Suppliers and the Business areas.

- Deputise for the Deputy Director or Director with external suppliers as required.

- Lead and navigate through ambiguity (by making evidence- and/or values-based decisions).

- Manage resources effectively and ensure efficiency of departmental financial budgetary provision.

- Consider the impacts of a number of new projects and changes on the Command, the Service Management team and our supplier base.

- To be considered, you will need to successfully complete an DV Enhanced clearance before commencing the role.

- You will also be required to undertake a mandatory pre-employment substance misuse test and achieve a satisfactory result

- NCA are able to offer these opportunities on a permanent and secondment basis.
 

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need a working knowledge of technology in a complex environment and have previous experience of multi-vendor supply chain management.

You will need to clearly evidence the following technical criteria:

- Knowledge/experience of IT operating models and an understanding of change methods applicable to an IT environment

- Service Management Service Design (tooling & organizational)

- Finance, supplier invoicing and budget management

You will need to clearly evidence the following experience criteria

- Successful IT Leadership track record in a complex and highly technical environment

- Experience of setting up and running a supplier performance management/ supplier relationship management function, putting in place skills, structures, processes, tools, reporting, etc.

- Lifecycle Management Experience

You will also need to clearly demonstrate your suitability for the role by evidencing the following behavioural criteria:

Leadership

As a leader in the NCA you will:

- Lead effectively across multiple departments, maintaining coherence and be a role model for the joint culture of the NCA as a single organisation, as well as collaborating with external partners to integrate, co-ordinate and amplify the UK national response to SOC.

- You understand and provide strategic direction to your managers through clear communication on transforming the NCA, and SOC system ambition. Being flexible and open in thought and action, you demonstrate your will to learn in all circumstances.

- Develop the capability of your people and teams to strengthen their ability to deliver and enable them to grow in their roles and careers. You actively coach and engage people, building their resilience, and supporting them in actively managing their welfare.

- Be threat led and data-driven in decision making, leading and navigating your team members through ambiguity by making evidence- and/or values-based decisions to strategically direct operational resources. You are proactive and ambitious on efficiencies, driving out duplication and standardising and simplifying where possible. Doing so, you balance financial and people resources to deliver against changing priorities.

The following criteria is desirable for the role:

- Knowledge of SRM/IACCM certification

Additional Information

- The NCA is a 24/7 organisation and working patterns must support business requirements. You may occasionally be asked to respond at short notice or outside of core hours but this it is not an essential requirement to do so.

- On occasions officers may be required to travel throughout the UK and overseas.

- NCA are able to offer these opportunities on a permanent and secondment basis.

- You could be deployed to work on any type of investigation, including cyber investigations and financial investigations.

 

Technical skills

We'll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process:

Successful candidates must pass a disclosure and barring security check.

Successful candidates must meet the security requirements before they can be appointed. The level of security needed is developed vetting
