Job Details

Our client, the Ministry of Defence (through the Aurora Engineering Partnership), are seeking a Support Solutions Specialist to join their team. The role will be based at MoD Abbey Wood, Bristol, BS34 8JH. The role requires SC clearance and candidates must be a UK National.

Requirements are scheduled to run until 31st March 2020. This is a competitive tender and there is therefore no pre-defined price attached to this role. We suggest that a rate of £580 - £680/day will be competitive, however please approach us if you have different requirements.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. The MoD have indicated then intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

Specific Requirements

A summary of the main activities to be undertaken is provided below:

  • Contribute to the Design For Support (DFS) requirements in the KCs, ILS lead, particularly on Logistics, Reliability, Maintainability and supportability elements.
  • T31e Delivery Team author of the T31e ILS Specification / Statement of Work
  • T31e Delivery Team author of the Integrated Support Plan (ISP) Supply Support Plan (SSP) and Design For Support Disclosure (DFS) Data Item Documents (DIDs) including updating and reviewing these DIDs and peer reviewing other support related DIDs as required.
  • Contribute to the support elements review / negotiation of the D&B contract where required
  • T31e Delivery Team author of the D&B related DIDs
  • Developing the necessary Evaluation Criteria (ECs) to enable a Support Assessment to be conducted which provides assurance that the design meets Supportability, Reliability and maintainability requirements.
  • Stakeholder engagement and management within DE&S and NCHQ DLOD representatives, socialise support strategies and plans, gaining approval and buy-in as appropriate. Key meetings include; Support Delivery Working Group (SDWG) (Role as joint-chair), monthly SEOC and ilog meetings.
  • Provide the T31e Support team management activities, schedules and resources to the T31e Delivery Team Project Management team and Support Approval Authority
  • Contributing to the development of the T31e Pricing Schedule and the scope of costs
  • Contributing to the development of the T31e Through Life Cost Model
  • T31e Delivery Team lead on support assurance activities, owner of the T31e Support Solution Development Tool (SSDT)
  • Contribute to T31e team meetings, workshops and other activities as required
  • Development of Support Documents, Strategies and Plans as required

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas are cannot be accepted.
