About the role
Babcock International are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Engineer within the Facilities Engineering Programme Management Office (FE-PMO).

The FE-PMO comprises a team of ~30 Planning, Project Engineering and Business Support professionals, providing a planning and project controls service to the Facilities Engineering design team.

This is an exciting opportunity to progress your career and assist in the delivery of Defence design and safety engineering projects.

This permanent role provides an interface between the internal customer and design / safety engineering teams.

Main Purpose of Role
The Senior Project Engineer role is to support nuclear facility projects, to include start up, development of the PM Plan, WBS and project schedules. Including the support and development of the facility Annual Plan.

They will expedite the project initiation process and support the estimation of work packages.

In line with the Annual Plan process, the Senior Project Engineer will be providing the link between Facilities Engineering and our internal customer: capturing facility requirements, integration with the boat programmes and reporting ongoing performance of Facility Projects to all key stakeholders.

This post will also have a responsibility for creating and managing the start-up tasks required for dock Outage works: including the management and production of Initial Baseline Document's and maintaining links for Project schedule's and stakeholder engagement.

What do I need to do the role?
You will need demonstrable experience in facility upgrade or construction projects and stakeholder engagement with an understanding and experience in Project Planning, Estimating and Project Controls.

You will also require effective writing and presentation skills along with a good working knowledge of Microsoft office applications.

Qualifications
•HNC / HND or equivalent in a STEM based subject (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) or suitable appropriate experience in Project Engineering / Project Controls.
•APM PFQ or PMQ qualifications are also desirable, but not mandatory.

This role is based at Devonport Royal Dockyard which is located in the vibrant city of Plymouth, Devon in the south west of England. Plymouth is a city with a long and proud military history and more than its fair share of heritage.
