About the role
Here at Babcock International we are looking to recruit Finance Data Manager to join our Rail Engineering division at Hamilton, Lanarkshire.

Babcock supports Network Rail and other rail industry customers in providing a safe, reliable and efficient rail network across Great Britain. We are the largest conventional plain line track renewals company in the country with over 50% of the market. With our partners Alstom and Costain, under the ABC Electrification joint venture, we are also one of the largest electrification companies in the country.

Reporting for the central finance area as directed. Support current business as usual tasks as directed by the Head of Finance in production of business management information tasks.

Your key deliverables will include:

•Management Information Pack - Headcount & Payroll schedules (including key variable Reporting).
•Publish periodic KPI's to the business covering transactional processing in the areas of timesheets and P2P tasks.
•Manage 3rd party payroll postings process for the monthly and weekly payrolls for the Babcock Networks business.
•Calculate average holiday pay for both Rail and Networks.
•Post manual voucher for apprenticeship levy employer costs (Rail only).
•Produce and reconcile the period-end debt pack for Network Engineering.
•Provide cross cover for the CVR process governance supporting period end
•Monitor automated routines & close IFS user groups to support period end timetable.
•Provide support to Accounts Payable Manager in defining solutions for non-standard suppliers.
•Maintain Network Engineering finance drive access (data privilege).
•Assist with the submission of P11ds for the business.
•Support various business improvement & transformation initiatives.
•Maintain financial & reporting integrity.
•Assist as directed in data cleanse activities in preparation for upgrade of IFS

What do I need to do the role?
•Ideally you will be a qualified, or part-qualified Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
•You will have a background in Finance & Accountancy positions
•Excel skills to include v-lookups and pivot tables
•Great attention to detail with large data sets
