Railway Telecoms Construction Works Supervisor

About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Railway Telecoms Construction Works Supervisor to join the team. This is a permanent role working out of our Hamilton office, however will require travel all over Scotland and N.Ireland when required.

Your role will be to ensure that all scheme and projects allocated are implemented to laid down systems, procedures, quality, environmental, and safety standards.

In conjunction with the Site Engineer you will; carry out auditing, reviewing and reporting of the quality, safety and progress of telecoms project installation activities as required and direct the Supervisory or Installation staff, to ensure all employees, which may include Agency / Sub-Contractors are utilised to the maximum of their efficiency, and that all construction meets the necessary specification and standards required.

You will ensure that all laid down legislation for equipment, and plant is complied with, including any calibration or certification that is required and monitor scheme's and projects, man hours against target man hours, and identify when there is potential to achieve efficiencies.

Undertake all relevant safety duties / briefs (COSS, TOFS brief, toolbox talks etc.) within the limits of competencies held and implement systems and controls to minimise the misuse, loss, theft, vandalism, and damage to any plant, vehicles or equipment under their control, whether company owned or hired in.

What do I need to do the role?
You will have a background of working within Railway Telecoms and managing the full end to end site rollout.

You'll need to have appropriate technical qualifications and have the ability to lead staff.

Would also like you to have experience in all or some of these areas:
•Appropriate technical qualifications
•Appropriate Safety qualifications (COSS/IWA)
•Previous experience in Management on Railway Telecoms
•Previous experience in Railway Telecommunications
•IRSE Licensed or working towards.

Lastly, you'll need to be a competent communicator, both verbal and documental and have sound knowledge of safety procedures.
