Technical Governance Lead

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead, coordinate, and participate, in the governance of technical activities within a secure Defence site. You will provide quality assurance, throughout the product lifecycle, from impact analysis to implementation of fit for purpose delivery and be the single point of contact for technical quality standards, questions and requests for guidance, from the various on-site technical teams, interest groups and individuals.
This diverse role additionally offers you the chance to work with the Architecture and Technical teams to assist with the development of fit for purpose solutions providing high quality technical standards & process as required. You will participate in supporting the Architecture Design Engineering team in the development of Desktop technical strategies and identify ways of working to support the strategy.
As part of your role you will be responsible for:

*Defining coding standards and continual review, working with SMEs.
*Defining templates for designs, working with the ITIL teams to keep build instructions, release notes and AIS (acceptance into service) relevant.
*Quality Process Management, chairing preliminary design reviews (PDR) and critical design reviews (CDR) to ensure compliance to process and quality standards.
*Provide Technical QA throughout project lifecycle
*Applies skills and experience to build our clients relevance to the Authority.
*Facilitates and supports effective client and stakeholder engagement.
*Transfers technical knowledge and other specialist experience to others.
*Actively promotes IT and business capabilities and develops relationships in support of business objectives.
*Seeks and gains recognition outside the business by active involvement in industry / specialist groups.
*Tracks market trends and competitor activities and data applies this data to ongoing service development.
You will have the following experience

*Technologies: Knowledge of the latest developments and future strategy for Desktop technology. Knowledge of associated tools, techniques and methods within their area of responsibility.
*Administration & Process: Understanding and ability to apply excellent project management and administration discipline to operations within a cutting-edge technology environment and support all associated processes and procedures.
*Demonstrable knowledge of delivery methodologies, DevOps, Agile, Traditional Waterfall. Desirable qualifications in the above
*Analysis Capabilities: Confirm scope of and plan for process development. Report findings & make Recommendations. Ability to apply to Desktop and other technology developments.
*Innovation: Chair and coordinate innovation meetings, managing stakeholders and being the focal point for engagement.
*Design & Project Management: Work through and with the various technical teams, contribute directly to target operating models and conceptual designs. Identify and work to mitigate technical risks. Manage technical debt related to desktop infrastructure and technology. Apply knowledge of project management & agile to the technical teams.
*Previous experience in a similar role within the Defence sector
*Current DV Clearance
*Security clearance
*You are required to obtain National Security DV Security Clearance to work in this position.

Pay Rate and Bens: Up to £70K plus 3% Flex and Car Allowance
