Live Services is based within the Technology Command. We manage the day to day operation of the NCA IT estate, ensuring the on-going delivery of suitably assured and operational IT services to users, responding to incidents and escalations as they arise.

This is enabled through the leadership of the transition of new and changed services in and out of to the live environment and the supervision and management of the IT supply chain to ensure services are delivered in accordance with Service Levels aligned to user expectations.

To achieve this, Live Service take a through life approach to IT service and continually develop and build a team of professional and experienced IT Service Management practitioners who are suitably skilled to support a complex and varied IT estate that is evolving through the delivery of the NCA transformation Programme.

We are currently looking to recruit Service Delivery Senior Officers based in one of our sites in Bristol, London, Warrington or Leicester.

Job description

• Apply expertise in IT Service Management.

• Provide advice and assurance on IT Operations matters, focusing on Problem Management, Change Management or Applications Management and understanding the demanding environment in which we work.

• Help to build and execute pragmatic approaches to managing our IT estate.
 

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need to have the ability to make appropriate technical decisions, initiating action to resolve operational problems. You will be familiar with the concepts, standards, technology, tools, processes, procedures, hardware, software and services in use for delivering information services and you will have experience of working as part of a service focused team.


You will be able to demonstrate the technical criteria set out below:
• Ability to make appropriate technical decisions, initiating action to resolve operational problems.

• Familiar with the concepts, standards, technology, tools, processes, procedures, hardware, software and services in use for delivering information services. Strong technical knowledge, understanding of operational techniques and technologies.

• Experience of working as part of a service focused team.


The following criteria is essential for the role:
• Experience in IT Operations with a focus on Problem, Change or Applications Management
• ITIL Foundation
One or more of the following criteria is desirable for the role:
• ITIL Operational Support and Analysis
• Experience of multi-vendor environments
• Experience of supervising teams

• Candidates will be required to obtain DV clearance prior to starting in the role.

***All NCA officers must hold SC Enhanced upon entry as a minimum. To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. For more information please see the Candidate information Pack***

Qualifications

• ITIL Foundation
