Job Details

Live Services is part of the Technology Command. We manage the day to day operation of the NCA IT estate, ensuring the on-going delivery of suitably assured and operational IT services to users, responding to incidents and escalations as they arise. This is enabled through the Agency Service Desk, providing 1st and occasional 2nd line service support to in-life services on a 24/7 basis, delivered in accordance with Service Levels aligned to user expectations.

To achieve this, Live Service must continually look to develop and build a team of professional and experienced IT service delivery and management practitioners who are suitably skilled to support a complex and varied IT estate that is evolving through the delivery of the NCA transformation Programme.

Our role is to protect the public from the most serious criminal threats. As an NCA officer you can make a difference! We are the forefront of law enforcement in the UK and we look for a wide variety of skills and experience to protect the public. Whatever your role you will have a vital part to play. We are currently looking to recruit Assistant Officers (24/7 shift workers) in our Leicester site.

Job description

Key Responsibilities
As part of a team of live service professionals, you will be using your skills and expertise to:
• Provide IT service support to the NCA.
• Support in house mobility services.
• Provide a supervised technical support to mission critical radio users.
 

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the ability to work within a small 24/7 shift team and the wider Service Desk. This is a crucial role requiring excellent triage, negotiating and analysis skills. The ability to communicate with officers at all levels of seniority, representing Technology Command and providing the first user contact for Live Services.

***All NCA officers must hold SC Enhanced upon entry as a minimum. To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. For more information please see the Candidate information Pack***

Technical skills

We'll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process:

  • IT Skills – particularly the use of the Microsoft Office package.
  • Interpersonal/Customer facing skills.
  • Administrative/Organisational skills with the ability to multi task.Experienced in effective decision making
