Job Details

The Chief Data Office (CDO) is based within the Technology Command. CDO develops and implements the vision and methods by which the NCA acquires, governs and manages the quality of its data. The CDO is responsible for information governance and compliance, digital data management, managing information disclosures, delivering information assurance, access to STRAP material compliance, and developing data strategy and capability.

Our role is to protect the public from the most serious criminal threats. As an NCA officer you can make a difference! We are the forefront of law enforcement in the UK and we look for a wide variety of skills and experience to protect the public. Whatever your role you will have a vital part to play.

Job description

• Promote data transparency and capability building; making data securely available at the right time, the right place and in the right format

• Define and own an NCA data model, setting data standards, structures, processes, systems and definitions.

• Provide advice on data capability building including data migration, integration, lifecycle management and advanced analytics.

We are currently looking to recruit a Data Capability Manager in our
London site.
 

Responsibilities

You will need to clearly demonstrate your suitability for the role by evidencing the following behaviour criteria:
• Communicating and Influencing
• Seeing the bigger picture

You will also be able to demonstrate the technical criteria set out below:
• Proven experience in building data capability including data models, data migration or integration and lifecycle management.
• Advanced Data and technology skills including the application of AI.
• Practical understanding of data legislation and data management requirements.

***All NCA officers must hold SC Enhanced upon entry as a minimum. To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. For more information please see the Candidate information Pack***
