DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES

With routine daily interaction with the Head IBSU and the Chief Information Officer, the Contractor will provide business software support and project support services in the following areas:

  • Act as focal point for CMRE business-related, IT-enabled processes and related Master Data Management interfacing with other organisational elements.
  • Design and develop dashboards to visualise key performance indicators exploiting cloud-based data.
  • Provide professional contributions to the improvement of Centre business processes through the efficient application of Information Technology. 
  • Contribute to the development of Service Level Agreements for administrative IT business services within the NATO enterprise, in the area of responsibility.
  • Provide assistance in the development and maintenance of Programme and Project plans.
  • Provide automation of project progress reports, including analysis of trends and future performance forecasts.

THE OPPORTUNITY

Based in the coastal location of La Spezia, you will be providing support NATOs’ Centre for Maritime Research and Experimentation (CMRE) who are responsible for scientific research and technology development, you will act as the focal point for CMRE in IT-enabled processes related to core business, providing skilled administrative support within the Project Support domain.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

If you have passion for the work described above, here are the basic qualifications we are looking for:

  • Experience in the deployment and administration of functional software and administrative systems with a major focus on areas such as project management, personnel management, financial management, resource management. 
  • Extensive .NET development skills.
  • Extensive SharePoint (2010-2013) development skills.
  • Excellent MS Office skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Project Server and Project Server development framework.
  • Knowledge of Business Intelligence solutions and BI development framework.
  • Experience in setting in place new processes and procedures.
  • NATO Secret Security Clearance.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Master (MSc/MA) or Bachelor (BSc/BA) Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Experience of Microsoft PowerBI.
  • Industry Certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certifications).
  • Formal certification in a recognised project management methodology (PRINCE 2 or PMI)
  • Knowledge of ITIL.
