In this exciting role you will supervise buildings, facilities, security staff and functions in accordance with mandatory Counter Terrorism (CT) security standards.

You will operate, oversee and maintain the biometric / access systems ensuring staff and visitors are safely managed.

You will be also responsible for overseeing the facilities contract arrangements, managing contractors on site and ensuring the operational delivery of the annual CT capital programme of works.

The successful applicant will have proven experience as a security officer, with working knowledge of security, operations and procedures. You will have experience manging and supervising teams, the ability to work under pressure and proven communication skills. You must possess a valid SIA Supervisor Certificate or willing to undertake the training.

Due to the role requirements, it is essential that the post holder be prepared to be security cleared to enhanced level. Furthermore, due to the nature and sensitivity of work carried out we require that candidates not only hold this vetting level but that they also undertake additional security clearances which include additional nationality checks. This post is therefore restricted to UK nationals. This is line with government requirements, supported by Cabinet Office policy and Section 82(2) to (4) of the Police Reform Act (2002), and is for the purpose of safeguarding national security, to ensure that any potential vulnerabilities are identified at an early stage.

This role is part of a national, regional and local network and as a result you will be required to travel for business purposes. This may include travel across the UK and is not limited to the south east. You will be asked to demonstrate flexibility regarding working hours in line with operational demand and occasionally this may require working away from home.
