Safety Manager – ASRAAM Block 6 Missile

Our client, the Ministry of Defence (through the Aurora Engineering Partnership), are seeking a Safety Manager – ASRAAM Block 6 Missile to join their team. The role will be based at MoD Abbey Wood, Bristol, BS34 8JH. The role requires SC clearance and candidates must be a UK National.

Requirements are scheduled to run for 264 days from start date. This is a competitive tender and there is therefore no pre-defined price attached to this role. We suggest that a rate of £380 - £480/day will be competitive, however please approach us if you have different requirements.

IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35. The MoD have indicated then intend to operate the engagement as Inside IR35. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

Specific Requirements

• Safety Manager for ASRAAM Block 6 missile in service on TYPHOON and F-35.
• Knowledge of Operational Evaluation and aircraft trials requirements.
• Manage an OSRP submission for the system.
• Knowledge of WOME and WOC safety management systems and processes.
• Knowledge of weapon aircraft integration.
• Produce a SECR, SEMP and Hazard Log. Knowledge of POSMS, POEMS, JSP 520 , ASEMs, DEF STAN 00-56, DEF STAN 00-55 compliance and guidance.
• Management of PSEPs.

Candidate Eligibility

Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas are cannot be accepted.
