Role Summary/Purpose:
    The Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Leader will be responsible for supporting the business with all planning and forecasting activities and producing business analytics to drive business performance. The role is a critical part of the site finance function reporting into the Site Finance Leader and will play a key role in the continuous improvement and simplification of our financial and reporting processes. The FP&A Leader is expected to embrace contemporary digital finance solutions.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Be responsible for driving optimal P&L and business performance (cost, fulfilment, quality, cash) and profitability.
  • Report and analyse actual business performance, including Commercial, R&D, product management and supply chain.
  • Understand, communicate and explain variance drivers within the business and monitor performance against the business priorities.
  • Responsible for the quarterly forecasts and will be measured on forecast accuracy. Track progress against plan at a detailed level and build a set of recommendations to deliver the expected performance / target.
  • Own the financial planning cycles (SII & Operating Plan), including co-ordination and production of forecast headcounts, sales, direct materials, overheads and labour costs ensuring all inputs are robust, fit for purpose and have been adequately challenged and reviewed.
  • Support the site with capital allocation decisions including investment in R&D, Capex and Working Capital.
  • Be the business partner for Supply Chain, the P&L Team and Engineering team, driving operational engagement and working with the teams to develop KPIs, leveraging digital dashboards, to drive business performance.
  • Responsible for all hours reporting, tracking and analysis, including productivity and efficiency calculations and driving associated business actions and projects. Responsible for monthly performance reporting to the Site Executive team and HQ. Lead monthly business performance reviews with the Site Leadership Team. Responsible for cost management including tracking and reporting on cost out initiatives and progress vs business case. Initiate and execute analysis of costs, identifying opportunities for cost out and ensuring appropriate controls are in place. Ensure the site achieves the cost out targets.
  • Support the business with other ad-hoc analysis, as required.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • A degree in accounting or finance and/or a recognised accounting qualification (CIMA/ACCA/ACA/QBE) or equivalent.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis, business partnering or a business analyst role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience of working across multiple levels (including executive level) and across various functions and be able to communicate complex business issues in a clear/concise manner.
  • Strong analytical skills. Be able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and ability to add value to operating teams.
  • Competent in managing and influencing teams/individuals.
  • Flexible work style, ability to work under pressure and be able to adapt your working patterns accordingly.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment.
  • Integrity: accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and personal values in decisions, communications, actions and when dealing with others.
