MAINTENANCE ENGINEERS

We are hiring with one of our leading defence clients who wish to recruit new Equipment Maintenance Engineers into their team in Plymouth.

They have a proud history as a long established defence engineering market leader, designing and manufacturing a wide range of products for applications in the global defence market. However they are also looking to the future and developing their cutting edge technologies for commercial and civil applications. In order to continue our current success and to build our presence in these new markets, we require new recruits into our team to meet our increasing sales.

You will provide 1st line support across the Plymouth site, to make sure Equipment is maintained, calibrated and that you are there to respond to equipment breakdowns as they occur. You'll do this across both older legacy systems as well as cutting edge new systems which includes a mix of technology, manual and automated equipment, utilising PC and Microprocessor control. In addition to off the shelf equipment the site has custom built bespoke electro-mechanical equipment, environmental chambers and safety systems.

WHAT WE NEED YOU TO DO
* Working to planned schedules to minimise down time for calibration, maintenance and upgrades of equipment within Equipment Engineering and Build to Print Manufacturing teams.
* Diagnosing and rectifying faults by applying methodical problem solving techniques.
* Complying with company procedures and documentation to fulfil quality and regulatory standards.
* Providing auditable documentation and reports to support calibration, maintenance and safety related tasks.
* Liaising with Original Equipment Manufacturer for support and maintenance.


WHAT WE'D LIKE YOU TO HAVE

* 3 years plus experience in working in a technology production environment.
* Electronics HNC level or equivalent
* Experience of working in a time sensitive, safety critical, highly technical environment.
* Exceptional organisational skills, self-motivated and team worker.
* Experience of using Microsoft office and Equipment databases.
* Project Management experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively and be able to prioritise their own workload.
* Demonstrable Equipment / Instrumentation experience.
