This specialist role provides an exciting opportunity to join the NCA’s high performing Communications Team.

As a senior digital communication officer you will support delivery of original and cutting-edge social media campaigns that will make a real difference in the fight against serious and organised crime.

Job description

Typical activities will include:
• Management of the NCA’s social media channels; Analysing social and website analytics; Creating original social content; Attending NCA operations to film or photograph; Commissioning or producing videos and managing the NCA website
• You will write, create and edit content for use across all our digital channels whilst providing advice and support to the wider Communications Team and Agency. You will also have a proven track record of using social media channels to increase audience reach and engagement and have a broad knowledge of the changing engagement trends and techniques.
• Using insight and evaluation you will develop content and campaigns to support the agency’s priorities and use social listening tools to monitor our impact.
 

Responsibilities

Ideally you will have:
• Experience of using digital analytics tools and techniques to measure and evaluate success
• Proven experience working in a busy communications team
• Experience of using digital analytics tools and techniques to measure and evaluate success
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills to adapt to different audiences and to produce optimised content for digital channels

***All NCA officers must hold SC Enhanced upon entry as a minimum. To meet the National Security Vetting requirements for this role you will need to have resided in the UK for a minimum of 3 out of the past 5 years. For more information please see the Candidate information Pack***

Technical skills

We'll assess you against these technical skills during the selection process:

  • An excellent understanding of how users consume information online and how to craft digital communication accordingly.
  • Practical understanding of emerging digital technologies, services, tools and trends, including techniques for optimising digital content
  • Rich media production skills, including image and video editing.
