About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Sales and Tendering Engineer to join our Liquefied Gas Equipment (LGE) Division. We design and supply cargo handling systems for liquefied gas ships/carriers across the globe. LGE is an incredibly innovative and diverse business with patented designs working with LPG, LNG, Ethane, Ethylene and new projects with CO2.

Our Head Office is in Rosyth, with most projects mainly in South Korea and China at the biggest shipyards in the world. With a diverse product portfolio in numerous markets, we offer an exciting opportunity to join an ever-growing business with longevity.
Reporting to the Lead Sales and Tendering Engineer, you will be the liaison between LGE and the clients. You will work in a fast-paced environment handling quotations/tenders for multi-million pound projects and turning them into technical and commercial tender proposals to customers as part of our business winning process.

Using the technical engineering knowledge obtained through your engineering qualifications and experience, you will review customer documents and develop the tender proposal for the project, define and write the tender proposal to the customer including; commercial scope, deliverables schedule (drawings, equipment etc) with input to the technical proposal prepared by the engineering team. You will build estimates from concept/P&IDs and coordinate supply chain requirements with Procurement to support the estimating engineers so they can develop high accuracy cost basis for each proposal.

This is a very highly regarded position within the business and endless training and development opportunities are available. There is also an option for international travel to supplier and client sites.

What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to have a minimum of HNC/HND in either Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering and desirably have experience within a commercial environment.
Would also like you to be driven, have a strong willingness to learn and be enthusiastic.

What else do I need to know?
• We are based at Rosyth, Scotland
• Permanent position with a competitive annual salary and excellent benefits.
• 37.5 hours per week; 7:00am to 15:15 Monday to Thursday and 7:00am to 14:00 on Friday.
