Training Support Officer

About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Training Support Officer to deliver a high quality fire-fighting training delivery service in line with Babcock requirements. You will operate the Unit by computer, or facilitating the training requirements within the Fire-fighting Facility wearing Breathing Apparatus (BA). You will also work in an effective collaborative manner with all staff, displaying the appropriate behaviours at all times displaying a heavy Customer / Student focus on Safety and Training outcome requirements.
As a Training Support Officer within our Marine Training business you'll be supporting us as we deliver world-class training both UK and Internationally. With over 800,000 training days delivered so far we equip people to operate and support the most complex marine platforms, logistics and equipment - using our collaborative, customer centric approach.
Babcock operates a significant outsourced contract for the provision of education and training services to the Royal Navy. The training services comprise of Naval technical and tactical training and education, delivered by Babcock trainers as well as training support. The contract is entering an exciting new phase with renewed focus on training innovation, optimisation and collaborative working and this role will provide the support and drive to achieve successful deliver of all aspects of the contract in this new phase.
This is a physically demanding role which can be exposed to both a wet working environment and extremes of temperature, whilst wearing BA and Fire Retardant Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

- Full Driving Licence
- Physically fit and able to wear BA
- STCW 95 MCA qualified
- BA Maintainer qualified
- 1st Aider
- Knowledge of the Maritime Industry
