Post SMT Team Leader

My client is a leading electronics technology solutions provider who offer a wide variety of design and manufacturing services to meet their customers' requirements.

Key Responsibilities

*Day-to-day hands-on leadership of all the manufacturing functions Post SMT
*To coach and train others in all manufacturing disciplines
*Organise and prioritise workload amongst the team
*Assemble product in accordance with defined build instructions and IPC-A-610 standards
*Highlight issues in a timely manner
*Ensure on time delivery as per Customers requirements
*Ensure all deviations from IPC-A-610 standards are clearly & concisely documented on build instructions prior to commencement of any work on customer products
*Implementation of housekeeping standards which ensure that the facility meets world class standards and is always in an "audit ready" state
*Liaise with SMT Team leader for daily requirements
*Active involvement in Quote V Actual times performance analysis
*Measure Quality KPI and implement improvement actions
*Attend morning meeting and update progress of each job on a daily basis

Key Requirements

*A background in Electronic or Electrical Engineering is desirable
*Experience in an Electronic Manufacturing or Production environment
*Experience of Lean Six Sigma Manufacturing philosophies
*Understanding of IPC-A-610 standards
*Use of Quality tools e.g. 5Y's, 8D, Root Cause Analysis (RCA) etc.
*Diagnostic fault finding down to component level
*Knowledge or experience of PCB design or manufacture
*Experience or knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT)
*Desirable knowledge or experience of Failure Mode Effects Analysis (FMEA)
*Customer focussed
*Calm under pressure
*Excellent communication skills
