Assess current working practices and develop good industry working practise around general security support and security incident management. This will include delivering some coaching and mentoring to several less experienced members of the team. The holder of this role will be expected to:
* Manage escalated security incidents from a people and process perspective
* Bring incidents to successful conclusions with thorough remediation plans
* Influence stakeholders at all levels to assist with the timely resolution of incidents
* Respond to incidents and obtain useful forensic information from the evidence collected
* Prioritise and differentiate between potential intrusion activity and false alarms
* Conduct incident and investigation post-mortem briefings, analysis, and reporting
* Provide technical guidance to investigations to correctly gather, analyse and present digital evidence to both business and legal audiences
* Collate conclusions and recommendations and present findings to stakeholders
Due to the nature and urgency of this post, candidates holding or who have held high level security clearance in the past are most welcome to apply. Please note successful applicants will be required to be security cleared prior to appointment which can take up to a minimum 10 weeks.
