About the job:
Our client is a leading engineering consultancy, who aims to be recognised as the leading organisation for UAS integration and development, with a service offering focused around UAS integration, helping our customers to adopt and fully utilise the capabilities of UAS. This includes:
*Technical support and integrating software;
*Enhancing the capability of clients with UAS, focus on increasing autonomy;
*Developing leading autonomous UAS platforms that integrate effectively with wider robotic and autonomous systems;
*Technology Development and R&T.

They have an established network with UAS industry and operator stakeholders and are building further key strategic partnerships. The focus is now on leading development of both novel UAS regulatory approaches & UAS capability development programmes across all markets. This role is key to supporting the growth of the UAS team leading and supporting business development, service development and technical delivery.
About you:
To be suitable for the UAS Design and Integration Engineer roles, you will need;
*A passion for developing UAS technologies to make a difference;
*Bring an established network of UAS contacts across different market sectors;
*Knowledge and experience of Systems Engineering with the ability to understand client requirements, unpack complex operational challenges and develop solution strategies which deliver UAS systems and technology to drive capability improvements;
*A degree in an Engineering, Safety or related subject; or similar experience gained through previous employment in the air sector;
*Be CEng/IEng accredited or a desire to work towards it with mentored professional development.
It is to your advantage if you meet some or all the following additional requirements:
*Experience of working with clients to understand Concept of Operations, developing user and system requirements for UAS technology and systems;
*Experience of developing new and novel UAS platforms with an understanding of:
*Design and development of UAS platforms;
*Payload and Sensor Integration;
*Platform command and control and ground control systems;
*Advanced modelling and simulation;
*Autonomy, AI & Machine Learning;
*System certification;
*Experience of leading UAS Research Programmes in both military and civilian applications;
*Regulatory experience, including safety case development for UAS operation;
*Project and Technical Management experience. We are looking for talented individuals, with a Systems Engineering mind-set and the ability to lead consultancy assignments: helping shape client needs, providing technical leadership and integration, and assuring the quality of our outputs.
