About the role
Here at Babcock International, we are looking for an Engineering Inspection Manager to lead and manage a large team in the provision of Engineering Inspection services to HM Naval vessels and customers. You will ensure that customer work tasks are delivered safely, on time, to specification and within an agreed budget, whilst maintaining close liaison with all key stakeholders.

Main responsibilities include;
• Hold a strategic overview of requirements in support of vessels entering service and implement necessary steps to assure capability of EIS department
• Assure that all tasks are carried out in accordance with the Company's safety, quality, cost and schedule requirements
• Implementation of the Company Safety, Quality, Environmental policies in the Engineering Inspection area
• Lead and motivate all the Engineering Inspection staff to deliver main objectives
• Assure that adequate suitably qualified and experienced resource and necessary equipment is available to conduct Engineering Inspection activities

What do I need to do the role?
You must be an experienced Engineering Manager with knowledge and experience with engineering inspection procedures and processes.

You must have an extensive background in managing engineering teams as well as knowledge and awareness of marine engineering systems.

What else do I need to know?
This role is based at HM Naval Base Clyde, located 6 miles north of Helensburgh in the West of Scotland. We are well placed for commuter links to Glasgow and the wider region, but it is recommended for employees to travel by car due to the location.

We require an element of flexibility for this role as there is an occasional need to work weekends and night shifts to ensure the department is well supervised.
