Senior Content Designer
Contract Length: 5 months
Location: London
Pay: £400/500
Clearance: BPSS
Our client are seeking a senior content designer to create, iterate and manage user-centred content using analytics, user feedback, user research and other sources of information. The successful candidate will also be required to contribute to content principles, improvements and patterns and work closely with other members of your multidisciplinary team to understand user needs and agree the right design approach.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Review the work of other content designers and experts from other disciplines, and give constructive and honest feedback
- Identify relevant stakeholders and collaborate effectively
- Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to identify user needs, write and map user stories, design content plans, create and publish content
- Lead on managing relationships between your team and other teams across the organisation to ensure consistency and sharing best practice
- Contribute to the GDS content community and the cross-government content community
- Help other team members understand what content design is, why it's important and how to work with content designers
Highly Desirable:
- Significant experience creating, iterating and managing user-centred content
- Significant experience using analytics, user feedback, user research and other sources of information to improve content
- Strong project management capability, including the ability to coordinate a number of projects simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities
- Significant experience working with stakeholders to understand their issues whilst maintaining content quality
- Experience of leading small teams
- Experience designing and implementing content strategies, as well as proposing and implementing new processes
- Experience of being responsible for the quality of the work of others and providing constructive feedback on their writing
- Attention to detail
- The ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- It is desirable that you have some experience working with GOV.UK or other government sites
