The Opportunity

We have an opportunity for an HR advisor with a passion for learning and development to join a small team in our multi-national world-class defence systems business. This person will act as a consultant and advisor to a part of our UK business on all aspects of learning and development. Working with our business leaders and managers, they will provide innovative and imaginative learning solutions that will help our employees to achieve their full potential and the business to achieve its goals.
 
What are we looking for?

• You will ideally be educated to degree level and preferably with, or working towards, a CIPD or other relevant qualification
• Skills in training needs analysis, design or delivery of training are required
• Experience of the creation or design of digital learning would be advantageous
• You will be a clear and credible communicator, and a passionate advocate for all forms of learning
• You will have some previous training and/or other development experience
• You will be proactive and resilient, with the initiative and real drive to achieve results
• You will be thorough and well-organised with the ability to think and plan ahead
• You will build strong working relationships with colleagues, customers and suppliers and will be an ambassador for the L&D team and the HR function
• You will be aware of your own impact on others, confident using a variety of influencing styles, and will be comfortable challenging others at all levels of the organisation.

The Role

• Engaging with internal stakeholders, you will be creating and commissioning formal and informal development solutions to help us to deliver our future business commitments.
• Providing specialist advice and guidance to our employees, business customers and HR colleagues, helping them to identify their development needs
• Working collaboratively with our managed service provider, trusted suppliers and internal experts to source and/or deliver high quality learning solutions.
• Leading strategic L&D initiatives for the UK, and occasionally, the international business
• Finding and adopting new ways to help colleagues to learn
