This is a role at the heart of our Capabilities function, which provides an opportunity to support the ambitious growth plans of the organisation. You will be required to perform a range of duties related to the effective management of personnel security.

Job description

Main Responsibilities

• Management of vetting staff and teams to assist the effective delivery of a range of personnel security services.
• Manage coach and/or develop staff
• Manage a caseload, projects, planning activity or other campaigns as required
• Manage time and resources to ensure work is completed within agreed timescales using a range of audit processes and self-assurance to monitor accuracy, quality and timeliness of delivery in line with Cabinet Office and NCA policy
• Carry out vetting investigations and interviews with employees, supervisors and referees to determine their fitness to hold security clearance
• Prepare briefings, reports, analysis and recommendations to inform effective decision making and risk management
• Prepare briefings, case files and reports as necessary to support senior management in carrying out their duties
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders in order to foster collaborative working
• Contribute to and support the achievement of department targets
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic environment
