About the role

Here at Babcock International, we're looking to recruit a Core Network Engineer to assist with the monitoring and maintenance of the Babcock Network Infrastructure; encompassing Core Network, WAN, LAN, Firewall Management, VOIP and Wireless. This will require working with the business and 3 rd party suppliers to ensure a suitable and effective service.

Main responsibilities include fault management and rectification across the Infrastructure to agreed SLA / KPI's. Administration tasks across the Infrastructure as required and dictated by Best Practice and daily responsibility for the monitoring, management and reporting of the following technologies to the agreed performance levels and standards.

What do I need to do the role?

You will be an experienced Networking professional, focused on delivering effective and efficient operational capability.

You will be qualified to Cisco CCNA & CCNP and come from a strong Firewall background (preferably Cisco/Palo Alto/Netscaler).

You will also be confident working across a multi-disciplined IT environment, and diverse business and demonstrate proven customer liaison skills.

What else do I need to know?

This role is based in Lakeside, Portsmouth. A vibrant and accessible campus that has shops, restaurants, hairdressers and a nursery on site. It has parking for employees and runs a free shuttle bus from city centre trains and bus stops.
