About the role
The Keynsham QSHE team are a supporting function responsible for providing and maintaining an effective assurance capability within Engineering Services (ES) Projects which includes both the Dreadnought and DSPM projects providing technical design/support services for submarines and Digital Solutions providing Information, Analytic, Decision Support and IT services.
The Senior Quality Assurance Engineer will positively support the assurance capability within the DSPM, Dreadnought submarine or Digital Solutions projects by providing functional advice, guidance and support to the business relating to the effective delivery of a quality assurance programme in respect of the organisations business governance management system and customer/regulatory requirements.
You will provide support to the ES QSHE Manager, helping the project fulfilling quality contractual / legislative requirements. You will manage QSHE BMS documentation, facilitate process mapping, and undertaking technical document reviews. You will liaise with the Project to provide advice and guidance on quality assurance matters, undertake auditing and CAPA management as well as identifying risks and opportunities within QSHE activities. You will communicate with Suppliers / Customers on quality assurance matters, whilst using a range of measurement tools and techniques to provide reporting metrics to determine effectiveness of BMS.

What do I need to do the role?
  • Experience of Quality Management Systems and auditing against the requirements of ISO 9001 within an engineering, manufacturing or software environment
  • Computer literate, including Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Minimum HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an engineer, manufacturing or software discipline
  • Certificated lead auditor in appropriate discipline

  • Salary ranges from £35,000 to £43,000
