PURPOSE

Lead specification, design, development, testing and service model creation of Aerospace industry products & services, adhering to Product Lifecycle Management best practice & Stage Gate process, whilst meeting timeline, budget & quality requirements.
Help Product Managers with Product Stage Gate processes and internal projects
Support the Product Lifecycle of medium/large projects

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

*Provide support to Product Management in the definition of requirements during prototyping phase.
*Developing appropriate cost-effective Technical and Operational Solutions, based upon proven methods and best practices.
*Identify project dependencies and ensure that they are clearly documented and communicated
*Structure the development of the product readiness based on the internal / external supplier dependencies.
*Assist product management in the structuring of the developments, identifying all required resources to create a large cross functional team - ensuring resources are assigned, costed and committed
*Agree roles, responsibilities and activities as well as establish mile-stones for successful project completion Co-ordinate with key contributors to review program status, scope changes, and to detect any deviations or cross program dependencies and facilitate any conflict resolution.
*Identify, analyse and quantify risks and take steps to mitigate risks; including organizational gaps.
*Regularly review project status with the Cross Functional Team and stakeholders, identify deviations or changes and suggest corresponding corrective actions.
*Specify IT Business requirements & design products based on Requirements.
*Conduct and document the Feasibility Study for product(s) with key stakeholders to be developed (Business Impact, Cost, Planning, Risks analysis) during all phases of development.
*Define supplier contract service definition and agree interfacing processes and tools,
*Manage 3rd party suppliers in order to secure the product's delivery.
*Coordinate the implementation of the operational processes and tools (Service Delivery, Operational Management, Pricing Strategy, Reporting, Service Levels, Billing, etc).
*Coordinate the Alpha & Beta Trials of the product(s) in development through to general launch.
*Represent the product/program externally and internally, communicating status to all stakeholders.
*Determine committed Business readiness project plan in agreement with the project team members, manage project team and contributors according to project requirements.
*Regularly review development costs incurred against agreed budget and identify deviations and propose mitigations where possible.
*Ensure Service Design is developed and costed appropriately for all phases of development


Education and Professional Qualifications:

University Degree or equivalent in telecommunications/IT
ITIL Foundation Certificate beneficial.
Formal project management training and certification
PMP® certification recommended

Experience Ideally 3 years in IT solutions provider environment with knowledge of Aerospace/Telecomms like products and underlying technologies.
3-5 years of experience in Project Management / Product introduction, with a proven Project Management Methodology on medium projects with full budget responsibility

Knowledge and Skills Knowledge of IT/Air Transport Industry
Capability of coordinating, organizing and influencing virtual teams focused on delivery and support within an international environment
Competent in Microsoft Office, messaging, online purchasing, web conferencing systems - Good competence in MS Projects or other project management tools
Ability to drive medium to large size projects within a complex organization
