Do you have extensive accounting experience in a project environment and seeking an exciting new opportunity to be responsible for all financial matters involved in projects for a leading engineering company?
My client delivers sustainable energy solutions and is involved in the execution of engineering, procurement and construction projects for electrical substations.
Key Responsibilities
*Responsible for all financial matters of the UK legal entity
*Responsible for the preparation of the monthly, quarterly and annual financial results of the legal entity
*Obtain a comprehensive understanding of project details and risk necessary for future planning, analysis and reporting; contribute to monthly and quarterly project reviews
*Active participation in the tender preparation process, assess commercial and financial risks and opportunities, contribute to defining mitigation plans for risks identified and action plans to materialize opportunities
*Produce annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, estimates and other reports requested by Corporate finance
*Responsible for the daily cash management of the legal entity. Responsible for securing guarantees and bonds, and implementing a proper hedging strategy
*Within 3 months, lead the migration of UK current ERP (SAP) into Oracle.
Key Requirements
*Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and/or a UK Accounting Certification. CPA title is an asset
*Understanding of the UK accounting standards, relevant local Tax issues and IFRS accounting rules for construction contracts
*Minimum of ten (10) years of accounting experience in a project environment
*Knowledge of engineering and construction (E&C) and or EPC business is a plus.
*Must have experience in managing a team
*Experience working with SAP ERP an asset
*Experience with ERP migration is an asset
*Experience working with Oracle Hyperion an asset
