Communications and Engagement Lead (SC Cleared)

Our undisclosed client based in Central London are currently recruiting for a Communication and Engagement Lead to join their successful team. As a successful communication and engagement lead you will be responsible for co-coordinating the delivery of communications and engagement activities for the clients portfolio. You will also be responsible for project managing delivery of key events.

This is initially a 6 month contract to start ASAP.

Essential skills/experience:

• Proven experience gained on similar government or defence projects and programmes
• Significant experience of working in change communication and stakeholder engagement roles
• Proven experience in stakeholder management, must be able to effectively engage, communicate, influence and challenge stakeholders across a range of departments and external suppliers
• The ability to map and categorise stakeholders, developing and implementing a stakeholder engagement strategy and plan which caters for a variety of stakeholders and interests
• Excellent copyrighting skills
• The ability to draft high quality communications products (newsletters, bulletins, FAQs etc.) pitched appropriately for a range of audiences
• The ability to develop a wide portfolio of channels to reach staff who are unlikely to engage in traditional newsletter/web page articles and to facilitate a significantly sized home based/remote workforce
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Confident, credible and engaging around senior leaders and officials
• The ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
• Must hold a current SC clearance
• Be content to travel to other stakeholder locations across UK (York and possibly Liverpool, Milton Keynes and other locations as needed).
